Is Elon Musk the New Trump — or His Ultimate Opponent?

Is Elon Musk the New Trump — or His Ultimate Opponent?

Whenever you check news or social media these days, it seems that Donald Trump and Elon Musk appear more than anyone else. There is a former US President who changed the course of politics in the country. A billionaire who’s also a business leader is changing the world of electric cars, travel in space, and online communication. On the other hand, a big question is always lurking in everyone’s mind:

Is Elon Musk assuming a role similar to what Trump did in American politics? Is it possible that Trump’s rival has become the main story in recent times?

Let’s examine the subject further.

Different Roads, Same Attention

I always remember the day I learned about Elon Musk. It was not because I saw it in the news, but from my college friend who decided to use his Tesla wallpaper on his computer. Most of Elon’s reputation back then came from his work with cars and rockets. On the other hand, Trump had made a name for himself on TV before entering politics and disrupting the way Americans voted.

Nowadays, you can often see both Musk and Dorsey appearing in the same articles — mainly after Musk completed his Twitter takeover and started sharing his opinions about free speech, politics, and what happens in the world. That’s when there became a lot more focus on comparing the two services.

Is it fair to say that they are actually the same?

How They’re Alike

1. They are people who go against the rules.

Trump took an uncommon way to becoming involved in politics. No matter how long Trump was in government, he avoided soft statements and boldly claimed his ideas, sometimes to an extreme. In the world of business, Musk has a lot in common with these people. Whether he’s blasting a car into space or sharing messages that ruin his company’s shares, Musk always does things that others wouldn’t try.

2. They do a great job at attracting the audience.

If people agree with them or not, Trump and Musk are strong at dealing with the press. While in office, Trump relied on Twitter like it was a powerful weapon. An interesting thing to point out is that, now that Musk owns Twitter, he makes the news with each move he makes on the platform.

3. While many enjoy them, others still come out with negative views.

People’s opinions are mixed when it comes to music. The majority of them give an either/or answer. Nowadays, Trump leads the “anti-establishment” movement, and Musk stands for bringing new technology ideas and the belief in free speech.

Where They Differ

1. Ideologies

The phrase “America First” appears in Trump’s politics because he always puts the interests of his country first. Musk pays special attention to topics that shape the whole world. Under Musk’s leadership, SpaceX is on the way to setting up a Mars colony, while Tesla aims to change how people get around the world. He announced that he wants to help any candidate who holds a centrist view, and this has often been a far cry from Trump.

2. Style of Communication

Sometimes Trump’s words can be direct and a bit rough. Musk enjoys making jokes, yet his main points are often delivered with a little humor and references to what’s current. Trump tries to look like the smart person, while Simpson acts as the person who is tough and resolute.

3. Purpose and Legacy

Trump wishes to run again and bring big changes to the country. Musk believes people should move ahead, and he plans to help by focusing on AI, space travel to Mars, or new brain chips. They look to achieve great achievements, but by very different means.

Clash on Social Media

What happens in the online part of their rivalry is truly interesting. For a while, Trump was not allowed on Twitter, but Musk stated he did not agree with the ban. Despite Musk’s decision to restore Trump’s account, the former president has so far kept using Truth Social.

Even so, the tension between the two partners is easily seen. Trump has fired insults at Musk and made fun of his different ideas. So, in turn, Musk responds on Twitter with jokes and interesting facts.

It sort of resembles a cold war involving two of the world’s most powerful people alive now.

The Bigger Picture

It’s important to admit that both men are much more than just their personal lives. Trump is now recognized as the leader of a group that opposes globalisation, popular media, and liberalism. Many are calling Musk the symbol of modern innovation, change, and freedom online.

In some respect, they depend on each other. Trump benefits from confrontation, and Musk provides him with a competitor who is skilled with technology. On the other side, Musk portrays himself as a calm leader while Trump’s radical opinions point out the difference.

Then, it might be that Musk is becoming the modern-day Trump.

Not quite. Even though they both have a strong public profile, Musk is not entering the world of politics, unlike Trump (for now). Instead of using them individually, Donald Trump integrates technology, influence, and ideas in a fresh way.

So, Is Musk the New Trump?

Absolutely. In particular, if Musk decides to assist moderate candidates, employ new technology to calm society, or show his disagreement with political polarization, his image will become much better. Therefore, Biden would try to go in a opposed direction from Trump’s populist approach.

Since Musk has a big fan base, money, and influence, he can frequently argue with Trump on different subjects.

Final Thoughts

In any view, Elon Musk and Donald Trump are both contributing to the world’s future development.

Both play a big role in giving music its strength and volume.

Even though Trump and Musk aren’t allies, they do not share many of the same beliefs. We have room for both methods, yet it is not certain that all people can handle their competition.

What’s your opinion of this?

Do you think that Elon Musk is Trump’s rival? Is it instead that he acts differently on the court than the way he speaks to the public?
